The Hotel Cicerone was easy and comfortable from the airport pickup all the way through to the breakfast the next day. We chose an adjoining room allowing us to be close tot he kids, but not too close, with a pleasant seating and TV area between the rooms and although the ‘Suite’ cost a little more, it was worth having the common social area. The buffet included in the room price had bacon and eggs and pretty much anything that you would need, as you would expect from a large four star Hotel Like the Cicerone. The rooms also had wireless internet allowing us to keep in touch with things back home. We would advise the Cicerone to anyone as it seemed so easy without any complications or unexpected surprises, and many hotels in Italy are fairly small and always booked out.

We were initially worried that the positioning would be a little far from the city centre but it worked out fine with the public transport, and most things were accessible on foot. The rooms were spacious and well kitted out. It seems that the Hotel is quite modern so doesn’t suffer from maintenance problems. The breakfast satisfactory, the restaurant was also excellent and we paid a very reasonable low season rate for the room and the weather was fantastic in early march. Would recommend Rome and the Cicerone even out of the high season months.
